In this fun mixed media class a variety of paint, draw and mixed media techniques will be used. Students will learn color theory, shading/ value, line and composition culminating in artistic projects. Students work with Ms. Hunter, the MPCS AP Arts Instructor in the US Art Studio MS Room 203. Materials fee covered in the class cost.

Create a variety of art projects through painting, drawing, mixed-media via canvas, pastels, collage, papers, charcoal, inks, clay and more! Students learn to follow their creative voice while being guided by a quality instructor in a caring and nurturing environment. Let their creative spirit soar while feeling happy and joyful in every class while improving fine motor skills, following directions, engaging in self expression and new techniques! Materials fee covered in the class cost.

Does your child like comics? Discover new ways to tell stories and communicate ideas through art and language with this Comic Kids class! They will learn new techniques to create their very own flip books, comic strips and short comic books from start to finish. Fiction and non-fiction story telling. Students will discuss and learn about: Flip Books,Comic strips, Comic books, Character development, Environment design, Story-boarding, Lettering, Coloring and Editing. At the end of class they will visit the local comic shops, share their work and each student will leave with a comic book of their own creation.
