ART

Art Kids

Art Kids is a mixed media art class that guides students through a variety of artistic mediums. Our professional art instructors assist students in developing authentic self-expression while having fun! Our arts classrooms provide a nurturing environment where children use paint, ink, charcoals, collage, texture, photography and more to experiment with endless artistic techniques.  Additionally, teachers explore and connect art from classical to modern periods to every class project. We make art with our head, heart and hands. We know our inspirational and caring art studio will soon become your young artists favorite creative, after-school home!

FOREIGN LANGUAGE: (Coming soon!)

Spanish Club

¡Hola! !Bienvenidos!  Welcome to our Spanish Club!

The MPAA Spanish Club provides a fun and freeing environment conducive to learning the Spanish language and Hispanic culture to its members. The club will focus on building knowledge of the culture through music, food, presentations and volunteerism.  Everyone is welcome to join regardless of what level they are in their Spanish speaking journey!

Our members will meet once a week for a 60 minute period.  Our focus is not on grammar.  We will be using games and activities that make learning engaging and fun.  The emphasis is on spontaneous, creative language use, whether spoken or written, rather than absolute accuracy.  Having fun while learning helps students retain information better because the process is enjoyable and memorable.

Objective:

Learn while having fun!  At the end of our 2-level Spanish series, students will have acquired a novice-low/intermediate proficiency level and will be able to handle successfully a variety of basic real-world tasks: How to introduce themselves, their families, their likes and dislikes & their needs.

Online Learning:

We will be using technology and social media to complete assignments, communicate with others, publish our ideas and research the ideas of others.
