Art Kids!

Art Kids is a mixed media art class that guides students through a variety of artistic mediums. Our professional art instructors assist students in developing authentic self-expression while having fun! Our arts classrooms provide a nurturing environment where children use paint, ink, charcoals, collage, texture, photography and more to experiment with endless artistic techniques.  Additionally, teachers explore and connect art from classical to modern periods to every class project. We make art with our head, heart and hands. We know our inspirational and caring art studio will soon become your young artists favorite creative, after-school home!

Majorette Twirl

is designed specifically for the beginning and novice twirler.   The Mount Pisgah Twirl Teams and Majorette Classes focus on fundamental skills and authentic performance opportunities.  Students will learn the basics of salute, twirling and marching all while having fun with Ms. Mandie! Music and movement will be incorporated into each class as well as strength training, flexibility, dance and fine motor coordination.  As a group, the Mount Pisgah Twirl Team will perform at the MP Fall Bonfire, an MP Football Game and the Winter Recital. All students in twirl class must purchase: uniform package, white Keds sneakers, class baton and blue case.

Mandie Cummins brings more than 20 years of twirling experience to the Mount Pisgah Fine Arts Academy.  A former Miss Majorette of Texas, Ms. Cummins also won a Texas state championship as a member of the competitive twirling team, The Lone Star Ladies.  In addition to competing at the highest levels of baton twirling, Ms. Cummins was also a feature twirler!  She has performed for Former First Lady Barbara Bush, in addition to twirling in the inaugural parade for former Texas Governor Anne Richards.  Mandie graduated from Clemson University, where she earned a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Speech and Communications Studies, as well as a Masters Degree in Human Resource Development.
