Welcome to our Spanish Club!
Instructor: Señora Ana Fischer
The MPAA Spanish Club hopes to provide a fun and freeing environment conducive to learning the Spanish language and Hispanic culture to its members. The club will focus on building knowledge of the culture through music, food, presentations and volunteerism. Everyone is welcome to join regardless of what level they are in their Spanish speaking journey!
Our members will meet once a week for a 60 minute period. Our focus is not on grammar. We will be using games and activities that make learning engaging and fun. The emphasis is on spontaneous, creative language use, whether spoken or written, rather than absolute accuracy. Having fun while learning helps students retain information better because the process is enjoyable and memorable.
Learn while having fun! At the end of our 2-level Spanish series, students will have acquired a novice-low/intermediate proficiency level and will be able to handle successfully a variety of basic real-world tasks: How to introduce themselves, their families, their likes and dislikes & their needs.
We will be using technology and social media to complete assignments, communicate with others, publish our ideas and research the ideas of others.
