5TH Harmony meets Pitch Perfect in this advanced faith-based Performance Group! Stylized harmonies with dance choreography, this vocal group will incorporate modern vocal techniques to a wide range of trendy music styles including pop, rap, jazz, indie, and retro. Performance based.

Lessons are customized based on individual student needs. Grounded in modern vocal techniques, voice students will uncover the craft of healthy vocal production. Breath support, vocal exercises, and repertoire is designed to create a balanced upper and lower registration. Students will also learn the necessary performance skills that are essential for delivering a dynamic live stage performance.

Students will learn technique for developing vocal range and stamina through exercises and lessons focused on the control of breath, correct posture, and recognition of specific vocal registers.  Weekly lessons will include technique exercises, music theory, and building an age appropriate repertoire of performance pieces. Additional lesson topics will include stage presence and audition preparation.  Students will be encouraged to learn classic musical theater songs in addition to contemporary Broadway and Disney favorites.

Violin lessons are catered to each student, allowing for maximum attention and progress. Our teachers will focus on technique: learning to read notes, interpret rhythms, play scales as well as bowing and left hand technique needed for musical interpretation and refined intonation. Lessons can focus on classical music, Suzuki repertoire or traditional fiddle music. Students will have the opportunity to perform in two recitals per year: Christmas Recital and Spring Recital.

Piano lessons are catered to each student, allowing for maximum attention and progress. Our teachers will focus on technique: learning to read notes, interpret rhythms, play scales.  Lessons use traditional piano training materials. Students will have the opportunity to perform in two recitals per year: Christmas Recital and Spring Recital.




 

Viola with Robert Rieve

Our teachers will focus on technique: learning to read notes, interpret rhythms, play scales as well as bowing and left hand technique needed for musical interpretation and refined intonation.  Lessons will focus on classical music and traditional viola repertoire.    Students will have the opportunity to perform in two recitals per year: Christmas Recital and Spring Recital.



 

Percussion with Alec Degnats

Students will learn essential techniques for successful performance including proper grip and hand position, posture at the drum-set, rhythm reading from beginning to advanced, rudiments, rolls, drum-set coordination and a wide varieties of beats and styles.



Piano with Pam Yarjan
